Overview
Experience
One of the best eye tracking features in Dying Light is the extended view which immerses the player more into the survival horror experience. Aim at gaze, throw at gaze, interact at gaze (objects, doors, looting) all adds more features that immerses the player deeper into the survival horror experience.
The Extended View allows the center of the screen to follow your eyes as your gaze reaches the edge of the screen, broadening your field of view, and increases your situational awareness and possibly saving you from a sneaky zombie or two.
Aim at Gaze also adds value primarily to gamers with a game controller, making it possible to aim in a way that is as effortless as if you were using a mouse, while at the same time maintaining all the other benefits of having a game controller instead of keyboard and mouse.
With Interact at Gaze the scene camera will automatically center to the object within range you want to interact with or loot. Then press the [X] button to interact with it.
Flashlight Control allows your gaze to steer the direction of the Flashlight freeing your hands to do other things, like surviving a zombie invasion.
Throw at Gaze lets you aim with your eyes to throw for example knives and axes.
Zombie Awareness will increase zombies aggressiveness towards you. It's great way to challenge yourself, but you will increase the odds of dying real fast.
Climb with Gaze makes you be able to look at a wall, fence or roof that you want to climb and your character will climb over. Very important when making a quick escape.
