Please note that this only applies to a non-integrated Tobii Eye Tracker.
Do not mount the eye tracker on top of your screen.
You have to place the eye tracker at the center of the lower part of the screen bezel. It is necessary as the eye tracker may struggle to detect your eyes properly from other angles because of potential facial obstructions such as eyelashes, eyebrows, eyelids, etc. It is also the assumed position by our algorithms.
We recommend that you place your mount at the center of your screen as placing it off-center may affect accuracy and performance. If you decide to place it off-center anyway, you can adjust the placement of the tracker during display setup.
Please be aware that the flex mount needs to be placed underneath your screen bezel so if you have buttons or air vents there, it won't work out.
Oh, and one fair warning before you start, the adhesive for the metal plate mount is very strong and it won't be easy to take the mount off once it is stuck. It will be like trying to remove Garfield from his plate of lasagna, nearly impossible. However, if your screen gets very hot, it could eventually fall off since heat is one of this adhesive's weakness.
Another weakness is fat and dirt, so do not forget to clean off the surface on your screen properly before sticking your mount to it.
You receive one flex mount + two metal plates. The flex mount already has a metal plate attached so then you can keep the other two metal plates to spare.
Remove the protective strips from the velcro pads, then place the mount in the middle of the bottom of your screen and apply a little bit of pressure. Then let it stick properly for a few hours before putting the eye tracker on there. We don't want the mount to detach.
Metal plate mount
The metal plate mounts can be used with normal flat screens and laptop screens. Just remove the protective strip and place it in the middle on the bottom of your screen frame.
