Please note if you are using Windows Eye Control and you’re updating from 2.16, please first uninstall the Tobii software before you proceed with installing the new version 2.16.4 to avoid running into any issues.

* The Core SW 2.16 release included firmware version 2.29 which didn't include any improvements, so we have reverted to 2.27 for this release. If you have already successfully installed Core SW 2.16 you will stay with the 2.29 version. Functionality is the same.

• Fixed an issue that caused an assertion failure.
• Fixed an issue where head tracking didn't initiate properly if the local host didn't have an internet connection.
  

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where we couldn't initiate an installation of Microsoft VC redistributable 2015 x86 and x64 if it was missing. It will now install this package if it's missing.

Other changes

• After installing this hotfix, Windows Hello might stop functioning temporarily. An easy fix for this is to unplug your eye tracker and re-connect it and it will work again. This applies to the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C only.

Bug fixes

• Updated the PID to 0x127 for the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C and bumped Windows Hello to version 2.1 to be compliant with the newest Windows Hello implementation that was introduced in Fall Creators Update. Applies to the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C only.
  
  
• Fixed an issue with Display setup where it wouldn't work to set up your display if you once had or have Tobii Dynavox software installed on your PC.
• Fixed an issue where the cursor would move to the left in text fields when our Windows interaction features were enabled.
