We get a lot of questions about the difference between the Tobii Eye Tracker 5 and Tobii Dynavox's PCEye 5 which are both based on the IS5 platform.
The Eye Tracker 5 is customized and engineered for gaming only, while PCEye 5 is customized and engineered for assistive use. The base platform is the same, but it has been adjusted to fit the use case which is both very different. The Eye Tracker 5 works well in various lighting conditions indoors, especially in gaming room environments.
The PCEye 5 works both indoors and outdoors as it is a communication device and is made to be used whenever, wherever. You also get specialized software for communication that has been developed for many years to give people a voice, the software is called Windows Control.
