What hardware do I need to use Horizon?

You need a gaming laptop with an integrated webcam. For this test, you’ll be using the laptop’s screen, I.e., not an external screen.

A future version of Horizon will also support external webcams and monitors.

What games does Horizon Playtest support?

Enjoy Far Cry®, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Assassin's Creed, Star Citizen, Euro Truck Simulator, or one of the other 50+ games currently supported in the Horizon Playtest. Check out the full list on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1638090/Tobii_Horizon/ 

What is Game Hub, and how do I install and run it?

Some of the supported games on the list require Tobii Game Hub for Tobii Horizon to function. Game Hub is automatically installed when you have installed Tobii Horizon via Steam. You may have to start Game Hub manually the first time you run Horizon. Please note that Game Hub is a standalone app, and it will not be launched automatically.

I already have a Tobii Eye Tracker; how do I test Horizon?

Your Tobii Eye Tracker provides eye- and head tracking, the latter being the same as Horizon’s head-tracking feature.

If you’d still like to try out Horizon, we recommend that your eye tracker be unplugged. If you experience issues, use the “Quit” option on the tray icon for Tobii Eye Tracker. If you have a laptop with an integrated eye tracker, we recommend you not to test Horizon since the eye tracker can’t be unplugged, and the software has no option to quit.

I already have a Lenovo Legion laptop with Tobii Horizon integrated; can I still use the Horizon Playtest on Steam?

You will get the same gearless head-tracking from your laptop’s integrated Horizon and the Horizon Playtest on Steam, so we don’t think you need both.

What is the difference between Tobii Horizon Playtest and the Tobii Horizon that is integrated into Lenovo Legion laptops?

Both are gearless head-tracking software via the built-in RGB webcam.

Tobii Horizon Playtest is downloaded directly from Steam, while Lenovo Legion’s integrated Horizon is preinstalled on the laptop. 

When will Horizon be released?

We do not currently have a set date; once we do, you’ll see it on Discord and our social media.

Will Horizon support more games in the future?

Hopefully, a lot more! We cannot tell you which games yet, but we believe you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the immersive experience it brings to many more titles.
