Please note that some of the steps have been updated
Step-by-step guide
- Ensure you have the latest Tobii Eye Tracking software installed, and that you have configured and calibrated so the main software is up and running. Download Tobii Eye Tracking
- Download and install Tobii Ghost (after installing it should start up automatically).
- Link your Twitch account to the Tobii Ghost software.
Please note that you need to have enabled two-factor authentication to link your account.
- To personalize your bubble, start up Tobii Ghost on your PC and turn on Preview. Then you can start customizing your bubbles' shape, size, speed, and color.
You can also save your customization as a preset and bind a hotkey to toggle between different looks. You can also choose to have the overlay off by default for viewers when they enter your stream.
- Make sure that the Tobii Ghost overlay is activated in your Twitch Extensions panel.
If you haven't already installed the Twitch Extension you can find it here.
- Add a Game Capture layer.
- Choose Capture specific window under Mode.
- Window: [SSOverlay.exe]: Tobii Ghost.
Please note that your recording software needs to be running on the same GPU as Tobii Ghost.
- Check Allow Transparency.
- Make sure the bubble is on top of all layers in your recording software.
Now you need to manually sync the latency between Ghost and Twitch.
Twitch currently doesn't provide the latency between the streamer and their server. That means that you will have to manually set the latency to synchronize the Ghost overlay with your video stream.
After syncing, hide the Tobii Ghost layer in OBS by clicking the eye icon as shown below.
Set up to embed into content
Are you streaming on any other platform than Twitch, making video recordings, or simply want to burn Tobii Ghost into the stream? This means you can watch back your VODs or clips with eye tracking still there. Also, there's no need for manual time sync. The downside is of course that your users can't customize it.
